the association of target archery clubs in Hertfordshire, England
The Recurve scores are based on the three top scoring archers from each club. Where three or less archers have shot, all scores are used. The Compound scores are based on the two top scoring archers from each club. Any queries regarding the Junior League should be addressed to the League organiser Mr Mick Perrott
The Winter Junior league for 2007/8, had five teams competing in the recurve and two in the compound. Abbey started out well by putting in the highest scores in November, in both the recurve and compound leagues, however disaster struck for the recurve team when the top scorer broke his wrist and couldn't shoot in December. Edgegrove were in second place, and Chiltern third. December results put Edgegrove out in first, with Chiltern then second and closing the gap, and Abbey trailing in third, a position they were to finish the season in. Chiltern continued to reduce the gap to the Edgegrove score during January, and in February moved up into first place. The final results for March left Chiltern well in front, with Edgegrove second, Abbey third, Elswood fourth and Howard fifth. George Mills made a valiant effort, mainly on his own for Howard, and was the highest individual recurve scorer in the league. The compound league was a bit of a one sided contest between Abbey and Chiltern, with Chiltern's archer only starting to score in January, leaving Abbey way out in first place.
